| A Little, Auckland | Well done .... It is a great relief on our already financial strain to find someone selling the school uniforms at a more affordable reasonable cost. Thank you very much and keep up the good work. |
| Pannon, Christchurch | The best school wear ever. 100%
cotton but super soft and very well made. I recommend seller and item to
all. I am applauding for your effort to bring sense into some schools rigid, unhealthy and expensive uniform requirements. I am very much pro uniform, BUT: I came from a continental European country where the compulsory school uniform is treated as a very simple work clothing and not an idiotic status symbol. They are available at warehouse priced shops and as simple, that any Mother -with a bit of sewing skill- can cut it out. It is naturally presumed that the child has extras and can go to school in clean and sweat-free clothing every day. I think the latest is far more important than anything else!!! I am a mother of an 11 year old girl with a - not uncommon and very uncomfortable - skin condition. (When over-heated or wears synthetic on her skin, she becomes itchy and develops a very painful rash). Her school has only one uniform for the whole year - the heavy woolen pinafore. There is no law in New Zealand to force a school to provide normal and healthy options, e.g. one layer cotton in summer and heavier bottoms with daily changeable tops in winter. I don’t think that some schools tyrannical practice is permissible in the 21st Century. The heavy wool blazer and the floor length kilt on developing children is not “preserving traditions” but outrageous snobbism. |
